WARNING: For those of you who don't like hearing about people whining I am letting you know that I am extremely pissed off so this is basically a rant.

I was casually browsing the Australian Copic Marker website where I just happened to find out that a full 216 marker set would cost me $1455!! This is not the first time I have felt that art supplies have been overpriced. At Jacksons, the only art supply store in Perth (to my knowledge), it is extremely overpriced, with a can of fixative costing me nearly $9. My point...
Why are art supplies so FUCKING EXPENSIVE!?
I have yet to buy some paints but I dread the day that that place burns a hole in my wallet for them.

And it's not just traditional art that is expensive, when those means become too expensive a turn to digital art can be worse! I mean look at all the programs to which you have to fork out masses of hard earned cash (credit for those lucky bastards over the age of 18) to get the basic programs.
Why does good quality art have to be limited to those who are extremely wealthy? Why can't we all just have access to the same quality art products? Why does there have to be a division between those who can afford to make their art look good, and those who have to struggle everyday with pencil, artlines and connector pen markers?
