It was only today that I was sitting in Independent Living and having nothing else to do was doodling. It was then that Soo showed me some of her recent artwork. This caught the attention of some of the other kids in the class and then her wonderful works were being admired by others in the room.
Now I confess, I'm quite the attention seeker, so I was slightly jealous at the attention not given to me (sorry Soo, still love your work). I remember the days when people commended me on my artwork, and when I showed the same dedication, drive and love of art that Soo does now. This caused me to think that either: a) people already know I'm a good artist too and don't want to repeat themselves, or b) I just haven't created a piece of work great enough to catch the attention of others lately.
I tend to think it is more the latter, as I haven't created decent artwork in ages and most of my work now is either too sketchy, too big, crap, or all of the above. But this got me to thinking, if I get back into drawing awesome stuff maybe I will get some attention back, not to steal the spotlight off Soo of course because you are twice the artist I am.
So without further ado, here is my new artist drive. With another image posted up today, I feel that my path to become a better artist has begun.
